Magazine spread for digital release about the graffiti and breakdancing scene in 1970’s New York City.
About_
Graffiti artists transformed subway cars and city walls into vibrant canvases of self expression while breakdancers turned the streets into dynamic stages. Both movements were rooted in a desire to claim space, tell stories, and resist social and economic marginalization. This project is a tribute to those creatives and their role in the rise of hip-hop culture.
